About the Director :
Part of the new generation of Moroccan cinema, writer-director Hicham Lasri won critical attention with ‘The End’ (2011), his first feature-length film, which showed in the ACID Programme at the Festival de Cannes in 2012. ‘They Are the Dogs’ (2013) won 32 awards and acclaim from critics. ‘The Sea Is Behind’ (2014) was selected for numerous significant international film festivals, including the Berlin and Dubai International Film Festivals, and screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. ‘Starve Your Dog’ (2015) had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and was also screened in the Panorama section at the Berlinale.
