At the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival, the jury of the feature film competition, chaired by Moroccan director Mohamed Abderrahmane Tazi and comprised of Tunisian actress Suhair Ben Amara, Kuwaiti critic Abdel Sattar Naji, Egyptian actor Fathy Abdelwahab and Iraqi director Kassem Hawal, has decided as follows:
At the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival, the jury of the feature film competition, chaired by Moroccan director Mohamed Abderrahmane Tazi and comprised of Tunisian actress Suhair Ben Amara, Kuwaiti critic Abdel Sattar Naji, Egyptian actor Fathy Abdelwahab and Iraqi director Kassem Hawal, has decided as follows:
- Award for Best Actor to : Ahmed Fishawy in the Film “A day & A night” by Ayman Makram.
- Award for Best Actress to : Fatemazohra Bennacer in the Film “Laaziza” by Mohcine Besri.
- Award for Best Scenario to : Amr Gamal and Mazen Refaat for the Film “10 Days before the Wedding” by Amr Gamal.
- Award for Best Director to : Najwa Limam Slama for the Film “Forgive Me”.
- Special Jury Prize to : “Catharsys, or The Afina Tales of the Lost World“ by Yassine Marco Marroccu.
- Grand Prize of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival to : “Yara” by Abbas Fahdel.
ومنحت لجنة التحكيم كذلك تنويها للفيلم الكويتي” إن بارادوكس” للمخرج حمد الصراف كما نوهت بأداء كل من ا لممثل التونسي رياض حمدي عن دوره في فيلم “سامحني” وا لممثل ا لمغربي عزيز داداس عن دوره في فيلم “جمال عفينة” وكذا ا لممثلة ا لمصرية حنان مطاوع عن دورها في فيلم “يوم وليلة”. ومنحت اللجنة شهادة تقدير لكل من ا لممثلة اليمنية سالي حمادة عن دورها في فيلم “عشرة أيام قبل الزفة” وا لممثل السعودي خالد صقر عن دوره في فيلم “ا لمسافة صفر” للمخرج عبد العزيز الشلاحي.
The Short Film Competition of the 2nd Edition of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival 76, chaired by Sudan Director Saeed Hamed , and comprised of Moroccan Actress Jalila Talemsi and Syrian TV journalist Houssam Eddine Naser having viewed all 20 Short films in competition, has decided as follows:
- Special Mention to : The film “Ghost of Spacetime” by Karim Tajouaout.
- Award for Best Scenario to : The Film “The Cord” by Allaith Hajjo.
- Award for Best Director to : Rami Aloui and Nadir Mohamedi for the Film “Awel Ayta”.
- Grand Prize of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival to : “Joury” by Najdat Anzour.
