The IMTIDAD Association for Culture and Development, organizer of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival, announces the date for its fourth edition, which has been scheduled for June 16 to 23, 2023, in partnership with the Casablanca City Council and the Maarif District.
The festival administration is pleased to announce that Nabila Rmili, Mayor of Casablanca, has been chosen as its Honorary President. The Mayor expressed her happiness with this role, which aligns with her comprehensive vision and strategy of bringing culture and the arts closer to the residents of Casablanca, creating cultural influence at local, national, and regional levels.
The fourth edition of the festival will feature two official competitions for long and short narrative and documentary films, as well as film screenings outside of the competition within the Moroccan and Arab panorama, in addition to honoring Moroccan and Arab cinema professionals, masterclasses, seminars, and training workshops for the youth.
Fatema Nouali Azar, the festival president, added that the official competition screenings, and the opening and closing ceremonies, will be held at the Mohamed Zafzaf Cultural Complex in Maârif, which has entered into a partnership the Casablanca Arab Film Festival signed with Mr. Abdessadek Morchid, President of the Maârif District, in November 2022.
