AN HOUR OR SO

EGYPT

DOCUMENTARY

Synopsis

“An Hour or So” is the story of 3 women in Cairo driven to sex work as a result of poverty and lack of opportunity. The film shows you how the violence of poverty disempowers women from choice and freedom.
Three stories of one of the most marginalized sectors can tell us a lot about the lives of women in Egypt living in poverty, their relationship with their bodies, and how poverty, inequality, and oppression has pushed women to make difficult choices in their lives.
