Synopsis
In a Moroccan village, in the sixties of the last century, men, adults and less adults, were forced to leave their villages to work in the fields and mines of European coals, leaving their women to wither in their particular worlds made of silence and a long wait.
Director's bio
Hamid Zoughi was born on April 7, 1942 in Casablabca. From 1958 until 1964, Zoughi had integrated the Municipal Conservatory. After the Baccalaureate, Hamid Zoughi got a job at the railways in 1964. Two years later, he gave up his job to go abroad to study cinema. He did an internship as a director at the Municipal Theater until 1972. In the beginning of the 70s, Hamid Zoughi will interpret several roles.
As a director, Hamid Zoughi has directed all kinds of films including the short film “24 hours of the life of a sailor” (1998), his first feature film “Kharboucha” was inspired by a true story.
