Elias Suhail is a British-Moroccan writer and filmmaker whose works delve into narratives that provoke a deeper examination of our ethical and moral frameworks.
His creative portfolio includes non-fiction, short fiction, theatre, and film. Elias has contributed several pieces to the New Statesman, and his work has been featured on BBC Sounds as part of the “Margins to Mainstream” podcast series with Michael Sheen. Additionally, he has performed his works before live audiences.
Beneath a Mother’s Feet marks Elias’s screenwriting and directorial debut. The film is inspired by his own mother’s story, capturing her experience as a young single mother in Morocco facing a life-altering and impossible decision.
